Swiatek has only been broken twice so far this tournament - both in her opening match against Katerina Siniakova.

This never looks like the third.

Raducanu goes on the attack at 40-15 with an aggressive forehand which beats Swiatek but not the sideline.

That felt like a big hold already for Raducanu.

It may also have been an indication of the pressure she will come under on serve.

    Raducanu 1-1 Swiatek*

Raducanu saves her bacon with some solid returning, although just as she looks to be off the hook, a double fault brings the game back to deuce.

A wonderful point from Raducanu, where she plays a neat drop-shot at the right time and backs it up with a lob over Swiatek's head, brings up game point.

And a solid first serve gets the Brit over the line.

Raducanu's serve is not out of bed yet as Swiatek pummels her second serve to move 30-0 ahead.

The Brit settles the nerves with a forehand winner down the line but the 11-shot point indicates the efforts she is going to have to exert today.

An error from the baseline brings up two break points for Swiatek...

Just the start which Swiatek dreamed about while catching zeds in her luxury Melbourne hotel last night.

A quick hold to love where the second seed banged down three first serves and finished with a service winner.

    Iga means business.

Drama o'clock! And the match hasn't even started...

Iga Swiatek gets a time violation BEFORE the match for keeping Raducnau waiting about on the baseline.

Likes to faff about with her bag, does Iga.

Umpire Marija Cicak stamps her authority and a bemused Swiatek argues her case.

Emma Raducanu, with a slight grin, strides out first to a decent ovation, followed by a focused-looking Iga Swiatek.

The noise-o-meter goes up slightly for the latter.

Iga Swiatek has enjoyed plenty of success on other hard courts, but the Australian Open is where she remains ripe to be on the end of an upset.

Emma Raducanu is planning to be the one who causes it in this year's third round.

"I wouldn't be afraid to say that this could be a big upset because Raducanu loves the spotlight," former world number five Daniela Hantuchova told BBC Radio 5 Live.

Raducanu, though, has lost all three of their previous matches.

So how can the world number 61 upset the odds against the Polish second seed at Melbourne Park?
