  3. What do Great Britain need to qualify?published at 18:20 British Summer Time 13 September

So, what does that mean for Great Britain's hopes of qualifying for November's knock out stages in Malaga?

If Argentina beat Finland tomorrow, GB will need to sweep Canada 3-0 to qualify on Sunday.

It's a tough ask for the British team with Canada sitting top of the group having won both of their ties so far and five out of their six matches.

Francisco Crundolo speaking after his victory over Jack Draper: "I'm super happy, super proud of me, my team, my country. We knew it was going to be a really tough tie and that we have to win or win because if not we are out.

"I think Tomas [Martin Etcheverry] played a great match and I think I played one of the best matches of my life so I am super happy to beat a player like Jack."

On the difference today: "Of course, in every tough match you have some shots, a bit of luck or some lines, if you go for it, you can hit some lines or you can hit a little bit out, but you have to go [for it] and I think that today I did that, I went every point forward, trying to be aggressive and play with my forehand and I think that was a big game again because I was really aggressive throughout the whole match."

On week in Manchester: "I mean for all of us, it's the first time here in Manchester. We are having a great week, we are enjoying a lot, we didn't have too much time to go and visit around but I think the last day we will do it."

On football: "We went to [Manchester] United and we see the stadium, sorry [Manchester] City fans but I will try and go to the [Manchester] City [stadium] now, but we are really [big] football fans, football is huge in Argentina, I don't know here but maybe there is an Argentinian player in some stands, I don't know if he is here. Football is huge in Argentina, so I think here too, so we will enjoy."

Cerundolo was outstanding. We talked about how big that forehand can be and how imposing a shot it can be as well on the opposition and he made the most of it today.

Both singles matches almost identical time, two hours and nine minutes, but both of them going to the Argentines, who are understandably ecstatic.

Quick turnaround for Jack Draper, obviously having done so well in New York and it's going to be a tough one to swallow. They may well need him on Sunday to come back stronger.

That small pocket of [Argentina] fans are ecstatic.

He's done it! Victory for Argentina over the British in Manchester.

What a performance from Francisco Cerundolo. That's got to be the best Davis Cup match he's played.

It seals a 2-0 victory for the South Americans.

It's a match that will be remembered for the quality and brutality of his forehands. And didn't he do well to hold his nerve in the final stages?

    What a match that was.

Francisco Cerundolo wins the tie for Argentina!

When he has got it firing that forehand has worked incredibly well for world number 31 and it's another crunching one that sparks joyous celebrations as he takes the game to love on the Jack Draper serve.

Impressive stuff but Great Britain will be bitterly disappointed.

Jack Draper is going to have to dig deep here.

    Three match points.

Don't think I'd ever heard a crowd boo a net cord before today.

    We've heard it twice now.

Another goes against Britain at 40-0 but Draper - and the crowd - are relieved it doesn't kickstart an Argentine revival in that 10th game.

    Getting tenser in here.

A good time to deliver some first serves, after the physical toll and effort the last game took upon him.

    And Draper's done just that.

After that gruelling last game Jack Draper makes use of his huge serve to regroup and have a bit of a rest.

Three big serves put him on the brink of taking a straightforward hold.

Francisco Cerundolo looks like he could surge back into the game but Draper wraps it up with a strong forehand.

Obviously they've done very well on a clay court but Argentina haven't actually won a tie on a hard court since 2019.

    No, no it's not.

    Back to deuce we go.

This time it's Jack Draper who misses the forehand before Francisco Cerundolo places his forehand into the empty court to take the hold.

Fair play to the Argentine. Gutsy stuff.

It just felt like Cerundolo was starting to go [physically] there and all of a sudden Draper went for the huge winner.

I'm not sure he needed it in that moment. Easy with hindsight isn't it?

Another break point comes and goes as Francisco Cerundolo nudges his forehand wide to gift Jack Draper the opening but the Brit's backhand is into the net.

An absolutely brilliant drop shot gives Draper another opportunity.

Jack Draper's forehand is long and that's break point saved.

Francisco Cerundolo moves to advantage as Draper's backhand only finds the net.

But the Argentine double faults to take us back to deuce.

This is turning into a huge game.
