Tight and tense.
You could hear a pin drop as Kokkinakis served at 3-3 in the breaker.
The silence is broken when Draper hits the net, sighs from the home fans quickly turn into supportive cheers.
Once again the two-handed backhand down the line from Kokkinakis proves too good and it's 3-3 in the first set tie-break.
Great work from Draper, a lovely forehand from out wide and then a superb serve. 3-2 Draper.

Draper has acquitted himself reasonably well so far on his Davis Cup debut.
After fighting off those break points early on, the Brit has grown in stature and could have nabbed the opening set there.
However, he's not quite at his best yet and the slow surface isn't helping his groundstrokes.
After hitting a backhand into the net, he gestures a complaint at the court.

Kokkinakis hasn't always been the most consistent of players, but he has had some injury problems. It's worth noting that.
Kokkinakis 5-5 Draper*
Great work from Kokkinakis under pressure to fend off the set point Draper had and hold his serve to make sure this opening set of the day still has mileage left in it.
*Kokkinakis 4-5 Draper
Draper got lucky with a net cord earlier in this game, but, when on set point, can't do so for a second time. This time the ball flicks up off the tape when he was sent running wide, but it is agonisingly out. That would've been the set, back to deuce.

Kokkinakis nods to the ball kid even before the replay comes up.
A challenge fully in hope rather than expectation.
*Kokkinakis 4-5 Draper

*Kokkinakis 4-5 Draper
Draper offers a hand of apology as his two-handed backhand hits the tape, wiping all the power from the shot and falling over the net.
He then gets the edge after a superb baseline rally to move to 15-30, two points away from stealing the opening set.
