  3. Draper first Brit into last eightpublished at 19:28 British Summer Time

British number one Jack Draper fought back from a set down to come through a tricky last-16 encounter with Alexei Popyrin and keep alive his hopes of a maiden title at Queen's.

The gruelling encounter in the west London sun went the distance but Draper came out on top in a thrilling third-set tie-break to progress 3-6 6-2 7-6 (7-5) , with the Briton punching the air in delight after sealing the win with an ace.

But it was disappointment for Dan Evans as he succumbed to defeat by American Brandon Nakashima, ruling out any hopes of an all-British quarter-final as he sets up a last-eight meeting with Draper.

On facing Jack Draper in quarter-final: "Another tough one for sure. He's playing some of the best tennis of his career now. He's a good friend of mine so it's going to be a fun match I'm looking forward to it."
