1. 'Will be an interesting dynamic to see two lefties play each other'published at 16:30 British Summer Time 4 July

    Draper v Norrie

It will be interesting to see Jack Draper playing Cameron Norrie because lefties don't often come up against another leftie so it will be an interesting dynamic to see how they then work it out.

Being left-handed is very effective against a right-handed server. It will be interesting to see how it is neutralised against someone who plays very similar to you.

Their game styles are very different though.

Even though they are both left-handed, it will be interesting to see how Cam neutralises Jack's serve. Cam is coming in with more experience but Jack is arguably in better form so I think it will be interesting to see how the two match up.

Cam will be looking to stay in his lane and take care of business on his side. The experience he comes in with will be an advantage however that is why I am interested to see with Draper winning that title in Stuttgart and beating [Carlos] Alcaraz at Queen's, there is a lot of good tennis under his belt in quite recent history so I'm interested to see how that marries up on court.

    Draper v Norrie

It has been a tough 2024 for Cameron Norrie. He has fallen out of the world's top 20 and been displaced as the top British man by 22-year-old Jack Draper.

Nevertheless, this tournament comes only two years after Norrie, 28, reached the Wimbledon semi-finals - his best performance at a Grand Slam.

The powerful left-hander has been as high as eight in the world and will be looking to find his best form today and remind everyone what he is capable of.

He aces to move to 40-0 and then flicks a beautiful forehand winner from under his own feet down the line.

The Briton has been incredible today. He's a game away from forcing a decider - against Novak Djokovic!

Centre Court is almost silent as Novak Djokovic goes up 30-0.

Jacob Fearnley then benefits from a net-call and Djokovic errors to cut the deficit to 40-30, but the Serb gets over the line with a strong first serve.

We're level again as we hit crunch time in the fourth.

Earlier, Ben Shelton, 14th seed, prevailed over South African Lloyd Harris in a battling display on court 18 that was decided over five sets, three of those ending in tie-breaks and lasted almost four hours.

The deal was sealed as Harris put a passing shot wide after a Shelton approach.

Grigor Dimitrov showed even a two-set lead isn’t safe against a 10th seed as the Bulgarian came back to defeat China’s Shang Juncheng.

Shang put on a great performance, with the 20-year-old forcing Dimitrov to come back from two sets down for only the second time in his career.

Some properly good serving from Jacob Fearnley helps him get to 40-15. But then Novak Djokovic responds by forcing the Briton into the net.

Can the 22-year-old get out of the game? You bet he can as he fires over another unreturnable serve.

The pressure goes right back on the second seed.

  17. Draper v Norrie nextpublished at 16:16 British Summer Time 4 July

Coming up next on Court One is another all-British clash as Jack Draper, the British number one, faces the man he replaced at the top of the country’s rankings last month – Cameron Norrie.

Draper has never reached the third round in his two previous appearances at his home Grand Slam while Norrie was a semi-finalist in 2022 but came into this year’s tournament out of form.

The pair get on well together but Draper says Norrie “won’t like the fact that I’m number one”, while the British number two – who has won both of the meetings between them – has piled the pressure on his younger opponent by labelling him the favourite.

British number two Harriet Dart speaking after beating British number one Katie Boulter: "I knew it was always going to be a really tough battle, we played a few weeks ago and it didn't go my way. I wear my emotions on my sleeve so you see everything how I'm thinking, unfortunately, but I'm so happy to be able to get through. Thank you so much for the support, it was so fab."

On keeping belief: "My head-to-head is absolutely woeful against Katie Boulter so I wasn't expecting too much but at the same time I just tried my best out there and even though I was down in that tie-break I just thought give it everything, no regrets and I'm really pleased to be able to battle through."

On how big this result is for her: "Massive. I haven't played on Court One since I played mixed doubles here a few years ago so it's so nice to get my first big win on a really big stadium court in front of a home crowd. It's absolutely surreal."
