    *Norrie 1-1 Zverev

We're rattling through the games already on Centre Court.

Zverev responds with a hold to love of his own, sealed with a huge serve that Norrie can only send sailing out of the back of the court.

Strap in, folks. We could be in this for the long haul.

Well, a really good start from Norrie. He begins with a very solid hold to love.

Zverev has not yet dropped his serve at the All England Club this year. Can Norrie cause him some problems?

I'm going to go out on a limb and say they won't be back playing on the outside courts at 14:00 BST.

It is absolutely belting it down now and my live weather app of choice suggests it will be raining until 14:20, stop for a few minutes then start again...

  6. 'Norrie with nothing to lose'published at 13:42 British Summer Time 6 July

    Norrie v Zverev

    Russell Fuller
Tennis correspondent on BBC Radio 5 Live and BBC Sounds

The year that Norrie got to the semi-finals no-one really saw it coming. There was that incredible quarter-final win over David Goffin over five sets, which Norrie said he was watching again to try and re-create some good feelings. Because it’s been a struggle for Norrie over the last four or five months.

He started the year really well with that run to the fourth round of the Australian Open, and he’s playing a new aggressive brand if tennis; It was a breath of fresh air, he was going for his shots and it was really good to watch.

Then things started to go wrong when he got very sick in Mexico at the end of February. It affected him at Indian wells, he probably shouldn’t have played that tournament and I think he was still feeling it in Miami. Then he got some quite tough draws in his second match of clay court tournaments and he lost to very good players and in the start of the grass court season he was really struggling,

He lost to Jack Pinnington Jones, who was ranked about 772 in the world at the time, having played a Challenger event, so to see him play as well as he did against Jack Draper was great to see.

That will have given him an enormous among of confidence and I’m hoping he feels that he goes into this match with [Alexander] Zverev, who’s been in such good form recently, with nothing to lose and feeling good about himself again

  7. Zverev looking to replicate good form on grasspublished at 13:41 British Summer Time 6 July

    Norrie v Zverev

German fourth seed Alexander Zverev arrives at Wimbledon after one of his best years on the tour. He reached the semi-finals of the Australian Open before making the French Open final, where he Wimbledon champion Carlos Alcaraz all the way but eventually lost in five sets.

Zverev has found Wimbledon the trickiest of the Slams - he has never made it past the fourth round.

Brit Cameron Norrie may just fancy his chances on grass but so far Zverev has been in super form and hasn't dropped a set in either of his two matches at SW19.

OK, now for some tennis on Centre Court...

Britain's Cam Norrie lost his place as British number one last month but did in fact beat his successor in the last round. Norrie looked back to his best as he stunned British number one Jack Draper with an assured second-round win.

The 28-year-old has struggled this season, suffering first-round exits at the French Open, Queen’s and Eastbourne.

    But he moved past an in-form Draper 7-6 (7-3) 6-4 7-6 (8-6).

Next up he has a tough challenge in fourth seed Alexander Zverev, who reached the French Open final this year.

"It's a tough draw but I’m looking forward to testing myself against Sascha - he’s had an unbelievable year, I think it’s the best year he’s had so far on tour," said 2022 semi-finalist Norrie.

    Oh dear.

The umpire calls a halt to proceedings at deuce in Harriet Dart's service game as the rain gets a little heavier.

She had played a fantastic cross-court passing winner to move up 40-15 before Wang Xinyu fought back to earn a break point.

Dart saved it but will have to wait to try and close out the game.

Harriet Dart is doing a good job of moving the ball out of Wang Xinyu's comfort zone and she doesn't seem comfortable moving on the surface currently.

She's making her opponent feel that she will have to bring an exceptional level to get the better of her.

It's not just the players who are having a tough time in these conditions, it's the line judges too.

Harriet Dart and Wang Xinyu have been right to challenge a couple of calls.
