Jannik Sinner leading 4-2 in the set. We've been here before.

It looked like Alcaraz couldn't fight back with four games in a row when his serve went walkabout.

    But now he still might...

    Any 1D fans amongst us?

If so, you'll be pleased to hear Niall Horan is sitting a few rows in front and looking like he's having a splendid time.

Between points he waves at someone sat in the opposite corner of Centre Court.

    Perhaps it's Harry Styles...

Jannik Sinner's forehand clips the net and drops over and he holds his hands out apologetically, although he won't be too sorry as it is another hold and another step closer to levelling up matters.

It's on a knife edge. This game has got everybody on the edge of their seats. You can hear the "oohs" and "aahs" from the crowd around, it's quite spectacular.

It's two great Grand Slam champions putting it all out on the line today and it's not disappointing by any stretch of the imagination.

    *Sinner 4-6 3-2 Alcaraz

Carlos Alcaraz gets himself into a promising position at 30-15 on Jannik Sinner but then holds his hand out in frustration as he sends a forehand long, before a backhand flies beyond the baseline and Sinner is on the cusp of a hold as he edges towards the second set.

It's so difficult tactically sometimes to know how to go about things in these types of matches.

Jannik Sinner's coach Simone Vagnozzi spoke earlier about staying true to what you believe in. If you go away from what you talked about in the locker room too early, it gets dangerous.

There's a lot more reaction than we're used to seeing from Jannik Sinner.

First of all, he's going a lot more to his towel box.

Normally he plays quickly between each point but I think he needs some extra time to really put aside the bad points and any unforced errors.

And there's a lot more facial expression from him in this final. You can tell this match really counts for him.

Sinner doesn't quite have the same soft hands and technique on the volley as Alcaraz does. A great serve from him however.

There is a lot of expression from Sinner. He wants to emphasise that he is up for the fight.

Sinner and his team will appreciate that you have to do a good job when Alcaraz makes some mistakes. You have to seize the opportunity, and Sinner has done that in this second set.

Things you will only see and hear at Wimbledon!

"Ladies and gentlemen, please don't pop your champagne corks as the players are about to serve," says chair umpire Alison Hughes.

Sinner's serve is disrupted by the cork shooting on to the baseline from the front-row seats.

Not from the direction of the Royal Box, I might add.

    Sinner 4-6 2-1 Alcaraz*

Carlos Alcaraz thinks he has drawn Jannik Sinner into a trap with a drop shot but Sinner is wise to the danger with a winner down the line.

Advantage once again for the world number one...

A poor backhand by Carlos Alcaraz and then there's a slight delay for Jannik Sinner's serve because a champagne cork lands on the grass.

Thankfully it is swiftly dealt with but did it distract Sinner? He loses the next point and it is deuce once again.
