It's been a busy week in the sunshine in Gloucestershire, almost as if the county is solar-powered.

It began with an excellent win for Gloucester-Hartpury women against Bristol Bears in the Premiership Women's Rugby Cup.

There were some interesting sights in Dursley as the town's annual fancy dress pancake race took place, and a certain celebrity chef cooked for local residents at Highgrove.

And with beautiful sunshine came our usual collection of stunning sunrises and sunsets.

A flipping success: Competitors took part this week in the quirky tradition of flipping pancakes whilst racing others in fancy dress in Dursley. The race, resurrected by the town council in 2010, is traditionally held on Parsonage Street.

Royal menus: Chef Raymond Blanc created a special menu for a 'Winter Warmers' event at Highgrove on King Charles' estate in Tetbury. The initiative, started in 2023, is aimed at combating social isolation in the local community in the winter.

Spring walks: When the weather is as good as it has been this week, with clear mornings and sunny afternoons, it's a good time to get out and about and explore the county. Weather watcher Wayne took this photograph on a walk this week.
