Wiltshire in Pictures: Strawberry moon and cycling

Wiltshire residents have been out and about this week capturing the best that the county has to offer.

It's been a big week for charity cyclists with events taking place in Wiltshire and further afield, raising money for a variety of good causes.

In the natural world, flowers have been blooming and moons have been dipping, including the Strawberry Moon that appeared overhead on Monday night.

And 10,000 people made the most of the Old Town Art Festival in Swindon.

Time for reflection: Senior verger Tyler Ringwood-Hoare and head verger Esther Lycett are reflected in 'Dwelling' by Phoebe Boswell, a four channel video installation with sound at the 'Living Water' summer art exhibition at Salisbury Cathedral.

Festival Fun: More than 10,000 visitors turned out as part of Swindon's Old Town Arts Festival, which came to a close on Sunday. The event featured more than 30 events across the area, which included live music, fringe comedy and a dedicated family fun day.

Dawn delight: It's been a week of unsettled weather, but when the sun has been shining, the county has been sitting pretty. Resident photographer Tom Anders captured the sunrise earlier this week.

Biker boys: A group of soldiers from the Defence School of Electronic and Mechanical Engineering in Lyneham are currently cycling from John O Groats to Lands End to raise money for brain tumour research. Having raised over £7500, the riders reached Land's End safe and sound on Thursday.

On your bike: Volunteers in Colerne were out and about for Christian Aid Week 2025, raising over £2000. The money will go towards supporting vulnerable communities worldwide, with local children playing their part in a 1 hour sponsored cycle ride.

Bee-utiful: With flowers across the county blooming, there has been a marked increase in wildlife appearing in Wiltshire gardens. In Durrington, near Amesbury, weather watcher Angie sun captured a busy bee at work, taking pollen from a sunflower.

Food for thought: Parents and children rolled up their sleeves to prepare healthy pizzas at a special school workshop this week. The event, designed to promote healthy eating from a young age, took place at Minster Church of England Primary School in Warminster, with similar events having taken place at 15 primary schools across the county.
