Autumn is truly here with Wiltshire's most popular walks blanketed in orange and brown leaves.

We have also had celebrities in town this week as Rivals filming returns to Corsham. Meanwhile, Wiltshire Police has been showing off a very important four-legged recruit.

Stourton in Wiltshire has settled into some autumnal vibes this week

Stunning scenes: Wiltshire is experiencing an exceptional autumn display this year, after summer heatwaves and a rainy September has resulted in trees producing incredible colours.

Visitors have been descending on Stourton, pictured above, to enjoy walks among the crunchy, colourful leaves.

Lights, camera, action: People in Corsham have been taken back to the 80s this week for filming of series two of Rivals, an adaptation of the late Dame Jilly Cooper's books.

Shop fronts were transformed and vintage cars rolled out for the occasion.

Filming takes place less than two weeks after the death of Cooper, described as "the undisputed queen of the British bonkbuster."

Making waves: Charlie, of Salisbury Sea Cadets, has been announced as one of the new Wiltshire Lord Lieutenant's Cadets during a ceremony held at Devizes Town Hall.

The role is an honour awarded to just a few young people across Wiltshire each year, recognising their exceptional commitment, leadership, and service within their cadet organisations.

Pawfect news: BBC Radio Wiltshire's Ben Prater has been visiting Dexter, the newest recruit for Wiltshire Police's dog unit.

The 18-month-old rescue Labrador was handed to Dogs Trust in January and assessed as having a "strong working instinct".

He has now passed his training and is beginning work as a specialist search dog.

Food thanks: Volunteers at the Hub at Ba15, a foodbank in Bradford on Avon, have celebrated a donation of £7,899 from NFU Mutual Warminster.

The hefty donation will provide essential supplies to hundreds of people throughout the year.

Birthday bash: Pitton CE Primary School near Salisbury celebrated its 175-year birthday.

Former pupils, some of whom attended in the 1950s, joined current staff, students and MP John Glen for cake and fun.

Winter-y walks: While winter is not here technically until December 1, walkers may have noticed the weather feel a bit gloomy.

This is due to something called "anticyclonic gloom", which sees high pressure cause air to sink. The moisture then creates low cloud and mist, which has been seen across Wiltshire.

A class above: Congratulations are in order for Royal Wootton Bassett Academy, after the school was praised for supporting young carers with their education.

The school was presented with the Young Carers in Schools Award by Cllr Jon Hubbard, Wiltshire Council's cabinet member for children's services, who described young carers as our "unsung heroes".

The artwork has been displayed in the foyer of the Wyvern Theatre

Terrific tiles: BBC Wiltshire's Janey Doyle has spoken to care home residents working on a massive art project for Swindon's Wyvern Theatre.

Individual tiles were decorated by people, many of whom have dementia, before being pieced together to form a mosaic.

The tiles can be visited at the Wyvern Theatre before they will go on permanent display at the Great Western Hospital.

Thousands of knitted poppies have been draped on to St Andrew Church

Poppy power: 7,000 knitted poppies have been draped on to the side of St Andrew's Church in Heddington and Stockley.

The Royal British Legion remembrance display will remain on the site for a few weeks.
