Wiltshire in Pictures: Summer's not finished yet

The End of the Road festival is taking place on the Wiltshire/Dorset border this weekend

As the summer holiday period begins to draw to a close, there is still time for one more party and this weekend it's the End of the Road festival down at Larmer Tree Gardens.

Elsewhere in Wiltshire, residents with an eye for a dramatic sky have been treated to some lovely sunsets and sunrises.

There was a royal visitor as the Duchess of Edinburgh came to Tidworth, and actor Rupert Everett popped up serving pints at his local pub.

Elsewhere, green fingered folk have been at work at a care home near Devizes which has been recognised for its floral displays.

Keep going: Thousands of music fans have been heading down towards the border with Dorset for the End of the Road festival, which runs until Sunday.

Royal reception: The Duchess of Edinburgh paid a visit to the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (REME) headquarters in Tidworth to learn about the unit and its modernisation efforts.

As colonel-in-chief of the corps, she tried her hand at welding before being shown a new Army vehicle called the Ajax.

Colourful: A passing rain shower left this lovely rainbow in the sky over Water Eaton.

Blooming marvellous: A care home in Market Lavington is celebrating after winning a Gardens in Bloom competition.

The competition, hosted by the care company HC-One, saw the home win the South West regional title, after being commended for its "vibrant and inclusive outdoor space." It will now move on to compete in the national competition.

Pint's up: Acting great Rupert Everett has been working shifts behind the bar of his local pub.

The actor, famous for his roles in Another Country and St Trinian's, has joined the Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA) and is part of a community effort to support The Swan in Enford, which re-opened earlier this month.

Gothic glory: Monday was one of the calmest days of the week and Weather Watcher Cazz took full advantage of the blue skies, capturing Salisbury Cathedral in all it's glory.
