There has been a lot of success to celebrate in recent days in Wiltshire, along with a royal visit.

The Princess Royal attended a ceremony which paid tribute to the late Queen Elizabeth II, with the two regiments forming the Household Cavalry coming together to present their standards to The Dean of Salisbury Cathedral.

A team of intrepid cyclists finished a mammoth charity ride, and a new batch of Wiltshire Police constables celebrated the end of their training.

Community heroes: the BBC Wiltshire Make a Difference awards saw those contributing to the county recognised - including a six-year-old boy.

Old meets new: A defence drone company has announced - with a visit by the defence secretary - that it will be opening its fourth UK site at the listed Spectrum Building in Swindon. Built in the early 1980s, it is known for it's unusual architecture and was once used in a James Bond film.

Team spirit: A new group of special constables have formally completed their training with Wiltshire Police this week. They will work alongside regular officers with the same powers and responsibilities.

Age no barrier: Phyll Babb, 100, has decided to carry on fundraising for Salisbury Trust for the Homeless through walking around the city's cathedral close. She completed her 200th walk in July, but wants to continue raising money for the charity, having already raised more than £12,000.

Cotswolds to Canals: A team of 14 amateur cyclists from Wiltshire have completed a 510km (317 mile) challenge in aid of Breast Cancer. They left Grittleton, near Chippenham, and cycled to Amsterdam.
