Ofgem propose 'simpler, clearer, fairer' energy tariffs
The energy regulator has unveiled proposals to force suppliers to tell customers about the cheapest gas and electricity tariffs they have on offer.
It follows days of uncertainty over David Cameron's plan to force firms to put customers on their lowest tariffs.
Ian Marlee from Ofgem told BBC Breakfast that power firms would have to tell their customers if they could save money on a different tariff and - in some cases - even tell them if it another supplier would be cheaper.
