'Music industry wants High Street shops'

The music industry does not want to lose its high street presence according to music business news service Complete Music Update.

Chris Cooke told BBC News that the record companies tried to support HMV, but have been unable to prevent the company going into administration.

The Music retail chain has 239 stores and about 4350 employees.
