The Art Fund Prize for Museum of the Year 2015 will be awarded on 1 July.
The prize celebrates the best museums and galleries across the UK.
BBC News visited each museum on the shortlist.
Oxford University Museum of Natural History was founded in 1860 as the centre for scientific study at the University of Oxford.
Over 150 years later, it now aims to challenge the way people think about the natural world and houses more than seven million specimens.
The museum reopened in 2014 after a 14-month restoration project.
