Google's Ben Gomes on improving search

Tanzania-born, India-bred and US-educated Ben Gomes is one of the main innovators behind Google's search, which brought in a bulk of the company's $50bn revenue's last year.

Crawling through over 20 billion pages a day on the continuously expanding world wide web, Mr Gomes and his army of search - a substantial number of the company's 44,000 employees - use algorithms in an attempt to make search intuitive, multimedia and super-smart.

Mr Gomes talks about the journey of search and its future.
