Athletes begin to arrive in UK for Olympics

Thousands of athletes and officials are beginning to arrive in London, 11 days before the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games.

Heathrow Airport is expecting 10,000 more passengers than on a normal day, along with equipment such as vaulting poles, canoes and bicycles.

The first of the Olympic priority lanes is due to open on the M4 motorway and competitors will start moving into the Athletes' Village.
