Yvette Cooper on migration figures, G4S and Olympics

Labour should have introduced a points-based system for immigration earlier and "low skilled-migration was too high", the shadow home secretary admitted.

But Yvette Cooper would not "pick a figure out of thin air" when asked to give a net migration figure target.‬

She also spoke to Andrew Neil about prison sentencing and the G4S staff shortage problems over providing security cover at the Olympic games which start in less than a fortnight.
