Lord Reid: Community 'must maintain solidarity'

Senior Whitehall sources have confirmed that the man who was killed in Woolwich in south east London yesterday was a member of the armed services.

The Government's emergency response committee, Cobra, will reconvene to discuss the incident and the attack is being investigated by counter-terrorism police.

Former Home Secretary Lord Reid told BBC Breakfast that the public 'must maintain solidarity and defy terrorism' following the attack.
