Park owner: Mauled zoo worker 'loved big cats'

An investigation is underway after a zoo worker was killed by a tiger at South Lakes Wild Animal Park in Cumbria.

Sarah McClay, 24, was attacked in the big cat enclosure and later died in hospital after being mauled by a tiger at an animal park near Dalton-in-Furness.

Park owner David Gill said he was deeply saddened by her death.

He told BBC News that his staff were devastated.
