BBC bosses criticised over pay-offs

Current and former BBC bosses have faced questions and criticism from MPs over excessive senior redundancy payments.

Former director general Mark Thompson and BBC Trust chairman Lord Patten disagreed about who knew about and approved the pay-offs, and the Public Accounts Committee criticised the corporation for the level and handling of the severance packages.
