'No future' for licence fee according to MPs' reports

MPs have said that paying for a TV licence does not have a long-term future in the modern world of media consumption.

It has been suggested that households could pay a compulsory levy instead.

The Culture, Media and Sport Committee also stated that the BBC may have to reduce its output, and consider introducing some subscription services.
