Culture Secretary: BBC licence fee 'a large amount'
The Culture Secretary, Sajid Javid, says the BBC licence fee will be looked at as part of the ten-yearly charter review of the corporation.
He described the annual charge of £145.50 as "a large amount for many families" and said an assessment of it would not begin until after the general election.
Speaking on the Andrew Marr Show, Mr Javid said his immediate focus regarding the BBC was on finding a replacement for the outgoing chairman Lord Patten.
