Is Britain's housing market working?

Housing shortages mean it is difficult to find a property in the home counties.

New research by the charity Shelter suggests that eight out of ten houses on the market are not affordable for working families.

Rental prices are also on the increase which means many people make the decision to move back home with their parents.
