Man's campaign to save Yorkshire soldiers' World War One trench in Belgium

A man from Leeds is campaigning to save a trench dug by Yorkshire soldiers in Belgium during World War One.

John Morrison is fundraising to restore the trench in Ypres, which disappeared after becoming flooded during the war.

It was rediscovered in the 1990s when a team of archaeologists located the site.

Mr Morrison says: "If we don't do something, it'll get lost to time."
