Skipper rescued off Sussex coast criticised by RNLI

The skipper of a small boat that has repeatedly got into difficulty along the Sussex coast has been criticised by the RNLI.

The vessel has been involved in five incidents in a week, including being grounded on Littlehampton beach.

The RNLI said the one-man crew had no comprehension of boats or the sea. Tim Freeman, the skipper, declined to comment.

Mark Sanders spoke to Geoffrey Taylor, Arun District Council's foreshore officer, and Littlehampton harbour master Billy Johnson.
