The October floods of 2000 remembered 20 years on
On 12 October 2000 communities across East Sussex and West Kent were hit by severe flooding.
It followed what was up until then the wettest autumn since records began.
The eventual cost of repairing the damage was put at £80m. Now, 20 years on from the devastating floods that wrecked so many homes and businesses, locals look back and share their memories from that time.
