Labour conference: Liam Byrne on Labour saying sorry

Shadow Secretary for Work and Pensions Liam Byrne said Labour needs to say sorry for its mistakes in power as he was asked about the ratings of Ed Miliband and the Labour Party.

Speaking on the Politics Show at the party conference, he said: "They don't expect us to make the same mistake twice. Where we get things wrong, we've got to say sorry and we've got to show we've changed."

He also said bankers should pay more to help the UK's finances, adding the "people who helped get us into this mess, should help get us out of it."
