Tax rates on rich and poor: Evan Harris and John Redwood
Dr Evan Harris has called for a mansion tax, a clampdown on tax avoidance, and more taxes on unearned wealth, plus no more demands on the poorest in society "unless the wealthy pay their fair share"
The former Liberal Democrat MP debated with ex-Conservative cabinet minister John Redwood who said "we need to be smart in the way we tax the rich" and to set tax levels to make sure high earners "stay and pay".
They spoke after a Sunday Politics film on a possible wealth tax
