EU: Kate Hoey on Labour for a Referendum group launch

The Labour for a Referendum group is launching on Tuesday, calling for an in-out vote over Europe with claims "senior party members" accept the party will have to give a commitment on the issue.

Kate Hoey said it was "absolute madness" not to back a referendum, adding she was not anti-Europe but it's a "sick organisation now that is going to get worse", and she said she would vote to leave the EU.

She said that "Europe had changed so much" as she debated with Lord Falconer, a former Lord Chancellor, over what MPs and supporters would make of the call, and when the vote could take place.
