Autumn statement: Pension age delay brought forward

The date when eligibility for a state pension rises to the age of 68 is being brought forward to the mid-2030s, Chancellor George Osborne will confirm in Thursday's Autumn Statement.

Meanwhile a further £1bn of cuts will be made to Whitehall budgets for each of the next three years, but an extra £150m is being put into updating and building kitchens and dining rooms in English primary schools.
