Actor David Schneider on MPs' appearance and uglyism
David Schneider said some may think Ed Miliband "looks like a human platypus", but people should vote on policies and not physical appearances.
Speaking of his own face, the actor said he had "profited from being funny looking", but it was more of a problem for politicians and zoo animals.
In a personal film for the BBC2's Daily Politics, he took a swipe at "uglyism" and the public obsession with looks.
He said: "I'm appalled when I hear people - who would never judge others by the colour of their skin or because of their sexuality - reject someone because his lips look a bit like he's pressing them up against a window all the time."
