Harman: Labour will back benefit cap and welfare changes
Labour's acting leader Harriet Harman has said that she will back some of the government's Budget proposals, because the party has to "listen to what people round the country said to us".
She told the Sunday Politics that Labour would back the Welfare Bill, the proposed household benefit cap and restricting Child Tax Credit to two children, from 2017.
Ms Harman said that the party had to recognise that people did not trust it on the economy and that voters wanted Labour to be specific about what aspects of government policy it would be challenging.
