US soldier accused of Afghan killings 'reluctant to serve'

The lawyer representing the US soldier accused of killing 16 Afghan civilians has said the day before the killings, the soldier witnessed one of his friends being seriously injured.

John Henry Browne also said the soldier, who has not been named, had suffered a head injury when he was serving in Iraq and was unhappy about going on another tour of duty.
