Libya: Gaddafi forces 'shelled residential suburbs'
Coalition air strikes have continued for a second night. One missile struck the Libyan leader's compound in Tripoli and severely damaged a building.
Maj Gen John Lorimer from the Ministry of Defence said since the coalition action, Col Gaddafi had withdrawn troops from Benghazi, where his forces had launched an attack on residential suburbs, causing reported "numerous casualties including children, the elderly, and women".
