Japan and WW2: Emperor Akihito leads memorial service

Japanese Emperor Akihito has spoken of his "deep remorse" for the country's wartime aggression at a memorial service marking the 70th anniversary of the end of World War Two.

On Friday, Prime Minister Shinzo Abe expressed "profound grief" over Japan's role in the war but South Korean President Park Geun-hye called on him to apologise for abuses committed during its occupation of neighbouring countries.
