Hillary Clinton: Assad regime 'has blood on its hands'

The US secretary of state has called on the Assad regime to allow life-saving aid to reach people in need, or "it will have even more blood on its hands".

Hillary Clinton said that nations that continued to protect and arm the regime would also be culpable. At a news briefing following a summit with world leaders, she welcomed new measures against the regime such as travel bans and the boycotting of Syrian oil.
