Clashes as diplomatic efforts continue to secure Gaza truce

Palestinians have clashed with Israeli security forces amid diplomatic efforts to secure a ceasefire in Gaza.

Israel's security cabinet rejected a proposal put forward by US Secretary of State John Kerry for a seven-day truce, but reports say both sides have accepted a 12-hour pause in hostilities.
