Essex university's Professor Paul Whiteley says the last minute change of heart by many voters was over the economy and came down to people's perceptions of the "feelgood factor".

He told the BBC Look East programme Essex university's late surveys showed people initially felt a difference between the national economy and how they fared financially.

He said: "But the feelgood factor caught up with them so I think that's part of the story of the last minute change of heart by people."
