  1. Exit poll suggests no shocks in Oxfordshirepublished at 00:18 Greenwich Mean Time 13 December 2019

The exit poll, carried out by Ipsos MORI for the BBC, ITV News and Sky News, suggests the Tories may win 368 seats and Labour 191.

The poll is a way of forecasting what may happen in the general election, after voting ends but before the results are known.

In Oxfordshire, it suggests no seats will change hands tonight, which may not come as a shock given five out of the six constituencies are safe seats.

The poll forecasts Liberal Democrat Layla Moran, will hold her Oxford West and Abingdon seat, after gaining it from the Conservatives in 2017.

  3. Layla Moran 'hopeful' of holding seatpublished at 23:52 Greenwich Mean Time 12 December 2019

Layla Moran, who is hoping to hold her Oxford West and Abingdon seat, has been speaking to BBC Radio Oxford.

The Liberal Democrat candidate says on a national level the exit poll is "disappointing" but says she is "hopeful in terms of my own seat".

Ms Moran said she had heard from "Remain Conservative voters" on doorsteps saying they had "decided at the last minute" to not vote for the Liberal Democrats because they were "scared of Jeremy Corbyn" winning.

"This election was not who you wanted to vote for, but who you didn't want," she added.

  4. Ones to watch: Oxford West and Abingdonpublished at 23:35 Greenwich Mean Time 12 December 2019

Layla Moran was elected in 2017 with a majority of just 816 votes in the marginal seat of Oxford West Abingdon.

Prior to the Liberal Democrat winning the seat, Conservative Baroness Nicola Blackwood had held the seat after being elected in 2010.

James Fredrickson is the new Tory candidate for the area, with Rosie Sourbut for Labour, and Alison Wild of the Brexit Party also in the race.

The constituency voted to 62% to Remain in the EU referendum in 2016.

The constituency voted heavily in favour of Remain in the EU referendum.

As you can see, Liberal Democrat Time Bearder is the first candidate to arrive in the constituency, which has elected Conservative Victoria Prentis in 2017, with a majority of 12,399.

The first ballot boxes have arrived in Maidenhead, Berkshire, to be counted.

As you might recall, the seat has been held by former Prime Minister Theresa May since it was created in 1997.

Regardless of tonight's result, this election will feel different for Mrs May compared to the snap one she called in 2017, which no doubt will feel like a long time ago.

  12. Ones to watch: Portsmouth Southpublished at 22:41 Greenwich Mean Time 12 December 2019

Unusually, each of the three main parties have held this seat in the last decade.

It was a Lib Dem seat held by Mike Hancock who left the party in 2014 after controversy about the way he dealt with a vulnerable constituent. Flick Drummond won the seat in 2015 for the Conservatives but she was one of the casualties of Theresa May's snap election in 2017, when Labour's Stephen Morgan took the seat.

He's defending a majority of 1,554 with the Conservative's city council group leader Donna Jones and current Lib Dem leader of the council Gerald Vernon-Jackson vying for the seat.
