  2. Thank you, thank you, thank youpublished at 03:03 Greenwich Mean Time 29 February 2016

In an effort to cut short the list of people winners are thanking, a ticker tape running the names of every man and his dog has been displayed each time an award winner is announced.

Unfortunately it doesn't seem to have made a difference as a lot of people are still being thanked - but a lot of people are also being played off quite quickly.

Maybe people will get the message soon.

  3. Oscars - your thoughts so farpublished at 03:01

    Quote Message

The lack of diversity isn't the Academy's fault, it's demand from a quietly ignorant, institutionalised racist wider world, demanding and paying for white dominated roles with ticket sales. We should all take note.

Asked about the abuse survivors, Spotlight writer and Oscar winner Josh Singer revealed he, director Tom McCarthy and actor Mark Ruffalo had spent the morning at a cathedral, with 20-30 people protesting against the church's inaction on child abuse by its bishops.

"It was very fulfilling to stand there with them and press the church to take action,” he said.

“Our message [to the survivors is] we hear you, there’s no shame in this, come forward, speak loud, save lives.”

Us Mad Maxers are doing OK tonight. Is was the best reviewed film of 2015, audiences loved it and to be honoured tonight is more than we ever could have asked for - it took a lot of creative guts.

What another lovely day. it was a year of our lives in the Namibian desert. We had the most amazing crew, it was an incredible experience. Mad Max could be horribly prophetic if we're not kinder to each other and we don't stop polluting our atmosphere.
