A dog has been rescued from freezing conditions in rural Cambridgeshire by a roads policing unit.In a post on Twitter, Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Roads Policing Unit said the lost animal would likely not have survived the night, but was now headed to "a warm, safe place to be cared for properly" while its owners are traced.
