Speeding drivers to 'expect jail'published at 16:48 British Summer Time 3 July 2017
Three drivers filmed speeding at more than 130mph during a street race have been warned to expect jail terms.
Amar Paul, Tejinder Bhuee and Zafar Iqbal were caught on an unmarked patrol car's dashboard camera during a campaign targeting reckless road-users on the A38 near Sutton Coldfield in March.
Paul, from Berrow Drive in Edgbaston; Bhuee, of Fitzroy Avenue, Harborne; and Iqbal, of Victoria Road, Oldbury, admitted charges of dangerous driving and street racing at a previous hearing.

All three men were due to be sentenced at Birmingham Crown Court today but the case was adjourned after their barristers asked for pre-sentence reports.
Granting the defendants bail until July 24, Recorder John Edwards told the men: "I take a particularly serious view of this, in my judgment, unless there is some great compelling mitigation, this sort of driving calls for immediate custody.
"Were I to sentence you today without a report, each of you would be receiving a custodial sentence."
