A man who survived a wall collapse at a scrap metal yard in Birmingham one year ago said he would never forget what he witnessed.

Basamaba Darama said he was with the men sweeping up piles of waste metal against the concrete wall when it fell.

He saw them buried under concrete blocks, each weighing 1.5 tonnes, and then scrap metal, which was behind the wall, pouring on top of them.

"I ran and I was confused because I didn't see anyone. The blocks were lying down on them.

We've gone Peaky Blinders mad today.

Earlier we brought you a Brummie who has paid tribute to his favourite show in the form of a tattoo and now we've got a picture of a Peaky Blinders themed bear as part of the Big Sleuth trail.

Here it is in all its glory in the Mailbox, the wording says "by order of the Peaky Blinders".

    Peaky Blinders bear

The bears are all part of a charity trial, they are dotted around Birmingham, Sutton Coldfield, Solihull and West Bromwich.

They will then be auctioned off to raise money for Birmingham Children's Hospital.

Two years ago The Big Hoot, which saw giant owls on city streets, raised more than £500,000 for the hospital.
