    Police say they're examining CCTV footage after gun shots were fired at a house in Birmingham.

    People inside the house in Spring Road, Tyseley, heard a loud bang at about 12:40 on Sunday and discovered a bullet hole in their front door.

    A man taken to hospital with serious injuries in Edgbaston earlier this morning has died.

    West Midlands Ambulance Service said, external the man, a pedestrian, was hurt when he was hit by a car on City Road at about 01:50.

    The road remains closed between the junction of Rotton Park Road and Shenstone Road.

    Good news for train passengers travelling on the Chase railway line this morning.

    The line between Rugeley and Walsall has reopened after two weeks of upgrades which left passengers on bus replacement services.
