An RAF postman, who went to work at his local airbase as a teenager in 1967, has just marked 50 years of continuous service.
Alan Haighway, from Shifnal, is now 70 and although many letters have now been replaced by emails, he's still up early most mornings to deliver the mail to over 90 locations around RAF Cosford.
The station commander, Group Captain Tone Baker, presented him with a card and gifts and said he is "part of the very fabric of this RAF station".
It's thought Mr Haighway has clocked up thousands of miles since transferring to the mail room from the base's labour pool in 1981 and he goes to the gym every morning to keep fit.
HS2 is being asked to change its plans for north Staffordshire to prevent the destruction of ancient woodland.
Staffordshire County Council and other local authorities say Whitmore Wood and local farms could be saved if a nearby tunnel was extended.
HS2 Limited says it has consulted over the environmental effect of the route and will continue to work with councils and communities on the next stage.
Average speed cameras could be rolled out across Coventry and the Black Country after a year-long trial in Birmingham and Solihull.
West Midlands Police and Crime Commissioner, David Jamieson, says he is talking to local authorities in the area, to see if they will be prepared to pay for the hardware.
Combined with mobile units and smart motorway cameras, the average speed cameras have issued £8m in fines over the trial period.
Quote MessageWhat we are doing now is talking to the other councils in the Black Country and Coventry as well, to see if those councils also want that type of speeding enforcement on the roads. They can provide the hardware, we will do the enforcement and that will make life safer for all road users."

A former member of staff at a Telford primary school is being investigated, after being arrested on suspicion of voyeurism.
The Diocese of Lichfield says it is "fully aware" of the allegations involving St Peter's C of E School in Bratton and is working with the local authority in support of its investigation.
A joint statement issued by the police and Telford and Wrekin Council says a small number of children have been identified as having been potentially affected, and that police officers have spoken to their parents.
It accepts that the information will be upsetting for pupils and parents and concludes by saying the matter is being taken seriously, but, as the inquiry is ongoing, no further information can be provided.

A Grade I-listed church in Worcester is being given a £1.64m grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund so it can be turned into "an inspirational sensory space and cultural venue",
The HLF say the money will allow the Georgian St Swithun’s church in the city centre to be "repaired and conserved" and transform it into "a cutting edge space".
Quote MessageSt Swithun’s epitomises Georgian splendour, but the fabric and future of this building have been at risk for some time. This grant, coupled with generous matching donations collected during our annual appeal, will enable us to save St Swithun’s and create a vibrant, sustainable future for the building and the community.”

An extra £1m for new CCTV cameras across the West Mercia force area has been promised by the police chief.
Police and Crime Commissioner John Campion says up to £65,000 per year will be given to five Community Safety Partnerships (CSPs) across West Mercia until March 2020 to be used on new and improved equipment.
Each CSP will submit an application detailing where they believe the cameras should be placed, or which cameras need to be upgraded.
Quote MessageNot only can the presence of a camera make people feel more secure, but by improving the cameras, and updating the equipment, it will ensure better quality of images which will assist the police and call handlers in the call centre."
