    Severn Trent says engineers are on site working on the problem and are hoping to get the water supply back to normal soon.

    Birmingham Ladywood is in the top 10 constituencies in the country with biggest economic impact from international students.

    Overseas students are worth £20bn to the UK economy, says a report from the Higher Education Policy Institute.

    London has the biggest share of international students, but the study shows that in relative terms, smaller cities with more than one university feel a greater impact.

    The analysis says on top of tuition fees, their spending has become a major factor in supporting local economies.

    The RSPCA says it's "very concerned" to hear reports of dogs suffering suspected poisoning while being walked in a park at Wistaston in Cheshire.

    The charity says it doesn't know if someone is leaving the poison out deliberately or whether the dogs are picking up something left out accidentally.

    It advised dog owners with concerns to contact their vet immediately and said signs of poisoning can include depression, lack of appetite, vomiting, diarrhoea, breathing difficulties, appearing drunk and uncoordinated, and twitching or seizures.

    Three Coventry men, jailed for for sexual exploitation offences, "callously exploited a vulnerable teenager girl" forcing her to endure a "hellish ordeal", said the NSPCC.

    Jake Cairns, 21, was sentenced to eight years, while Brandon Sharples, 20, and Jack McInally, 21, were given five years in prison after forcing a 14-year-old girl into prostitution.

    The men took explicit photos of the teenager and posted an advert of her on an escort site, claiming she was 18.

    "These sentences show that victims of child sexual abuse can get justice and highlight the importance of reporting concerns that a child or young person is being sexually exploited," said an NSPCC spokesperson.

    The number of deliberate fires involving derelict buildings in Uttoxeter is worrying Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service, which says it saw a big increase last year.

    It said there were 21 over the course of 2017, compared to seven the previous year.

    That included two fires involving sheds at primary schools in December.

    A 93-year-old has escaped unharmed after an electric heater started a fire in her bed on Queensland Crescent in Burton.

    Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service said she quickly dropped the heater and her smouldering blankets into her bath, and it could have caused a "far more serious fire".

    The fire service added it always advised people to get out of the house and call 999.

    A group of armed forces veterans will compete in the 2018-19 British GT Championships as part of a new motor racing team in a car designed by Jaguar.

    The Invictus Games Racing team has been unveiled at the Autosport International Racing Car Show at Birmingham NEC.

    Organisers say the bespoke cars will give wounded, injured or sick servicemen or women the opportunity to take part in competitive racing against their able-bodied counterparts.

    A man on trial for the murder of a Black Country teenager, whose body was found in a clingfilm-wrapped wardrobe, has offered no evidence in his defence.

    The body of 17 year-old Megan Bills was found at a hostel in Brierley Hill in May last year.

    Ashley Foster, 24, admits preventing her decent and lawful burial but denies murder.

    The jury at Wolverhampton Crown Court heard that Foster was released from prison on license three days before Megan was killed.

    Staffordshire Police has formally identified a woman who died after accidentally setting her clothes alight while trying to light an open fire with a match.

    The force said she was 85-year-old Jean Williams of Withington Lane in Withington, near Uttoxeter.

    Firefighters from Longton and Cheadle were sent to her home on Tuesday morning, and found both her and her dog dead.

    An inquest into the death of a Shifnal man trapped by fallen furniture in a service lift has been told a key to open the doors in an emergency was missing.

    20 year-old Kyran Stewart, who worked at the Walkabout bar in Swansea, was crushed while using the lift to move bar stools, and died four days later.

    Firefighters sent to the bar found their key didn’t work either, and the service lift was "jammed solid".

    The inquest continues into Mr. Stewart's death in 2013. It is expected to last two weeks.
