Three cars, a van and an HGV were involved in the collision, which closed the southbound carriageway for a time, close to junction seven.
One of the men, in his 40s, had to be cut free from the van.
A woman travelling on one of the cars was assessed and discharged at the scene.

Ryan Passey, 24, was stabbed in the heart after an altercation in Chicago's nightclub, Stourbridge, last August.

The man has been treated for a fractured eye socket and bruising to his head, ribs and hand.
