A road in Stoke-on-Trent's likely to reopen after a railway bridge was struck by a lorry.
The vehicle then shed a load of concrete panels on the A5006 Stoke Road at the junction of Station Road and Shelton Old Road. , external
Staffordshire Police says it's likely to reopen later but it could have been shut for longer but for an anti-crash barrier on the bridge.
Quote MessageThe anti-crash beam has been hit, this is the second time it's been hit but, because of that, it's not caused any damage to the bridge. If the bridge had been damaged, the road would have been closed for a very long time so it has done its job."
