    Men dressing in women's' clothes or cross-dressing is something rarely talked openly about. 

    The BBC soap Eastenders is tackling the often taboo subject in one its storylines.

    One Coventry couple are keen for the subject to be more widely accepted. 

    Trish Adudu has been to meet Hazel Carter from Coventry whose train driver partner, Denzil, on occasion, likes to dress up as Danielle.

    There'll be some clear spells this evening, however thecloud will build overnight.

    Some rain is likely in the northwest but for most it will stay dry and it will be mild, with temperatures staying in double figures - lows of 10C (50F).

  5. Inquest begins into death of a woman during cancer operationpublished at 17:15 Greenwich Mean Time 7 December 2016

    An inquest has started into the death of a Coventry woman last year after an operation went wrong at the city`s University Hospital

    45-year-old Deborah O'Hara was having a cancerous kidney removed when arteries were mistakenly tied, cutting off blood flow to vital organs.

    The hospital has admitted liability and apologised for not revealing the mistake when they informed her family of her death.

    A train driver from Coventry has revealed that he dresses in women's clothes and is a proud cross-dresser.

    Living with a cross-dresser is very much a taboo subject, but finding love and an accepting partner means that Denzil/Danielle and Hazel don't have to hide behind closed doors.

  8. Barriers plan for 'hot spot locations for fly tipping'published at 15:38 Greenwich Mean Time 7 December 2016

    Plans to restrict public access to two lanes and erect barriers, external are being considered by a council after 80 cases of fly tipping in the last year.

    North Warwickshire Borough Council says it is considering introducing a Public Spaces Protection Order for Didley Lane and Bun Lane in Fillongley after the lanes were identified as "hot spot locations for fly tipping".

    The council will now hold a consultation, external with people living in the area and local businesses before passing the order.

  10. Badger shot dead in north Warwickshirepublished at 15:07 Greenwich Mean Time 7 December 2016

    Police have been informed after a badger was shot in the neck and fatally wounded in north Warwickshire last week. 

    It was found in Steppey Lane in Mancetter by a member of the public out walking their dog.

    The badger was taken to the Nuneaton and Warwickshire Wildlife Sanctuary, external.

    Geoff Grewcock, from the sanctuary, says the badger had to be put to sleep by a vet because of the extent of its injuries.

    Warwickshire and West Mercia Police are to start wearing body cameras from next year as part of a scheme costing £1m.

    They follow Staffordshire Police, who began issuing body cams three years ago.

    Firearms and Taser-trained officers will receive the equipment first, followed by those on patrol.
